Taylor 1989 Album Review

She's back, one of the biggest stars in Music is back with a new look, feel and sound. Taylor shocked us all with Shake it Off earlier this year and it is safe to say she's not pure country anymore. I loved Taylor's Stuff since her 2008 album Fearless but this is a complete new direction and unlike other crossover artiest she makes the transition to pop look so easy.

Welcome to New York: This is the perfect opener, it's upbeat, fun and a brilliant indication on who the New Taylor is.

Blank Space: This sounds a small bit like Lourd, its cool, relaxed and has she make fun of her "clingy girlfriend" reputation

Style: This has a bit of techno in it. The lyrics are clever and she is showing the makings of  a pure popstar on this track

Out of the Woods: This is not exactly my favorite, there's a lot of  repetition of lyrics, it's a bit dull

All You had to do Was Stay: This is a pure pop track but still got the autobiographical lyrics Taylor famous for, a strong track

Shake it  Off: So fun, so catch, this was the perfect first single to introduce the new Taylor to the world

I Wish You Would: So 80's, full of synth, I love it, perfect to listen to before heading out, one of my favorites off the album

Bad Blood: This sounds like she was influence by her friend Lourd, it is a little darker than usual Taylor, it's good though

Wildest Dream: This is haunting song, very deep, honest, pure Taylor

How You Get the Girl: This is another pop track, you can sing along but she is still upset with men

This Love: The first ballad, her voice sounds beautiful , I really liked this

I Know Places: This is not very memorable but still a good song, kind of underwhelming

Clean: This sounds so 90's, it's a chilled track but not the best pick for an album closer

Overall: I love this, it's a really strong album, full of rich lyrics. I love the new Taylor, it's a change but a nice change and she is a good popstar as well as a country star. This is a great offering from Taylor. She is going to continue her success and with stuff like this, she deserves it.
