Afrojack: Forget The World Album Review

It is finally here, after 15 years of making music one of my Top artists is finally releasing this album. I have been so excited for this album since the DJ used snapchats to send teasers of songs of his new album and I have been raving about this guy who since early last year. He has some amazing tunes and great collaborators on this album and with EDM being so hot right now, he's earning his place with the big boys.

1: 10 Feet Tall ft Wrabel: This song is so epic and is something that you can really lose yourself to. The vocals are amazing and I think its a great opener to the album

2: Illuminate ft Matthew Koma: Matthew Koma seems to be the go to guy for dance tracks at the moment. I love this song, it does not seem to be a dance track when you hear the verse but once the beat drops it is epic, The beat is unreal and is pure afrojack

3: Born to Run ft Tyler Glynn : This starts as a ballad and the vocals are good but the beat is epic and is less commercial than some of the beats on the album but it's a great track

4: Freedom ft D-Wayne: This is all dance music at the start of the song. The beginning is a little crap but when the beat drops it is unbelievable, amazing work, this would be Amazing in a club

5: The Spark ft Spree Wilson: This was the first single off the album and one of my songs of last year. It is just a fun uplifting song that makes me smile. The vocals suit the song so well and the beat is amazing, one of my top songs off the album.

6: Dynamite ft Snoop Dogg: This definitely has a hip hop influence to it but is does work. Snoop Dogg is on point as usual and the collaboration shows how Hip Hop & EDM mixing is possible

7: Too Wild ft Wiz Khalifa: This song is perfect for long cruises on the car. Wiz lazy style vocals do work but I am not overly impresses with this song

8: 3 Strikes ft Jack McManus: I am not impressed with the vocals with this song but the beat is great and real hardcore EDM. Afrojacks beats save this song really

9: Catch Tomorrow:  Sting doing EDM, yes really, the legend gives as good as any young artist, his vocals stand out as usual and the Beat is Epic, so fun and uplifting, these guys made a great song

10: We'll Be Ok ft Wrabel: I am not blown away by this song but the beat is still fun and uplifting

11: Mexico ft Shirazi: This was too forgettable for her, not a fan

12: Keep Our Love Alive ft Matthew Koma: A good song with the go to vocalist and the beat is another epic offering

13: Faded: This is pure EDM, hardcore stuff, fans will love it, passers by won't

14: As Your Friend ft Chris Brown: I loved this song. This came out last year and I am still obsessed with it, the two work so well together, it is a little different to the single version but it is still awesome.

Overall: The vocal verses are a little blah compared to the magic of the beats. Afrojack is amazing at what he does. I love most of the album, one or two were a bit eh, but overall it cements his place with the big boys of the EDM world and rightly so

Best Track: Illuminate
