Met Gala 2014: Fashion Review

On Monday night the biggest night in fashion was held in MYC. The Met Gala 2014 theme was White Tie & Decorations. Ball gowns for the ladies and White tie for the boys were the dress code and believe me, it is my favorite Theme so far. Here is a rundown of some of the most AMAZING looks of the night!

What happened in that limo ride? Kim Kardashian switched out her shoes and belt as she lost the leather cuffs en route to the Met Gala
Kim, I am in LOVE. This Lanvin is Amazing on her, the color is so hot, the cut suits her hot body so well and the hair and make up is so chic, biggest improvement from the monstrosity last year! Gorgeous!

Rihanna's sweeping statement gown featured a bold cut out which showed off her enviable stomach, but maintained an elegant overall look with long sleeves and an embellished high neck
Rihanna showed off her toned stomach in this Stella McCartney. This is pure RiRi, risk taking, a little sexy but always hot. The white is great on her and I love how she stays true to herself, sexy as ever

Fashion's finest: Spice Girl turned designer Victoria Beckham unsurprisingly looked amazing in a slinky white dress
Victoria Beckham in her own creation was pure class and sophistication, this is just beautiful, honestly the whole look is flawless, breathtaking

Drunk in love: Beyonce looked amazing in her low-cut beaded Givenchy couture dress and veiled headpiece and was joined by her husband Jay Z
Beyonce is Givenchy, woah, her body looks amazing and she always tries a risk taking look, I love the mix of the vintage head piece with the sheerness of the dress, it's Beyonce, she looks fierce

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley wore a seemingly Roman inspired Balmain autumn/winter 2014 dress which teamed leather panneling with golden studs and leopard print
Rosie HW was a pure Balmain girl in her mini dress, while ball gowns were expected you can't deny she looks so hot, The mix of leopard and leather has never looked so chic

Hailee Steinfeld is a showstopper in this Amazing Prabal Gurung monochrome dress. I think it is so modern and so striking , I can't believe she is only 17

Lena wore a staggered hemline Giambattista Valli dress with floral embroidery
Lena, what the hell is this, This Giambattista Valli dress is awful on the star. it makes her look too wide and the haircut is not good, come on Lena, youve known Zac Posen since High School, embrace it!

Going for gold: Both Lea Michele (L) and Leighton Meester set pulses racing as they opted for plunging gold dresses
Lea Michele wore a gold Altuzarra, honestly i think it looks a little cheap. She is a beautiful girl who has worn amazing ball gowns in the past but this just doesn't seem very her

Going for gold: Both Lea Michele (L) and Leighton Meester set pulses racing as they opted for plunging gold dresses
Leighton Meester in Pucci, ugh so fabulous, the detail is amazing and it's so sexy yet modest, stunning

Blast from the past: Lupita Nyong'o dressed as a 1920s Flapper in a feathered green net frock by Prada, worn over a brown slip
Lupita Nyong'o is the new fashion darling and while some hate this Prada, I like it, I think it's a new take on the flapper look and I like how she took a risk, I think it paid off

Super slender: Nicole Richie looked extremely thin in her silver Donna Karan Atelier gown, with sheer and velvet panels, which was backless
Nicole Ricci  Donna Karen is unusual but I really like it on her. It suits her frame and I love the sheer and velvet together, I think she looks so chic here

Pretty patterns: Karlie Kloss (L) sported gold brocade confection while Jessica Alba was clad in a muted gold lace design by Diane Von Furstenberg
Jessica Alba in customer Diane Von Furstenberg, is a pure stunning sight, she is glowing and she looks so classy, she just looks perfect
Amy Adams had the theme nailed in her Oscar de la Renta silver gown while Anne Hathaway opted for a red Calvin Klein column dress
Amy Adams in Oscar De La Renta, honestly she looks so beautiful and classic, perfect choice

Suki Waterhouse in Burberry, Wow just Wow, incredible

Pale and interesting: Taylor Swift (L) and Rachel McAdams picked pastel pink for a light and summery effect
Taylor Swift in Oscar De la Renta should be amazing but I just don't like it. it's too fussy which is a shame

Sarah Silverman, Wow oh Wow, this maroon Zac Posen is incredible, it is big, fabulous and oh so striking, this is why Zac Posen is my favorite designer, this is not just a dress, it's a Gown

Pale and interesting: Taylor Swift (L) and Rachel McAdams picked pastel pink for a light and summery effect
Rachel McAdams in Ralph Lauren is pure simple chic, it's so elegant and sweet and timeless, she looks great

SJP, bow down to the Queen, This De le Renta is amazing on her and this woman is Fashion, she epitomizes the industry and in my eyes never does wrong, amazing

Emma Stone in this pink ensemble is so modern, so striking, so simple yet risk taking at the same time, honestly this is my favorite look on her

Reese Witherspoons Stella McCartney looks unreal, the color on her is amazing and the fit is great, I really really love this on her

Anne Hathaway In Calvin  Klein is a perfect combination. The simple design and amazing color against her pale skin is gorgeous and the simple accessories top off an incredible look

Oh Rita, This is not good. I think the dress would have looked great if she did not have those hooker lace ups and the wrap around her arm. The Donna Karan dress is actually nice but she has too much going on and it makes it look tacky. This is a pity since I love her and her style so much

Blake Lively is one of the people I am most excited to see on the Met red carpet and this year is no exception. This Gucci dress is so utterly amazing, honestly she looks breathtaking, flawless

Pretty in pastels: Both Elizabeth Olsen (L) and Diane Kruger decided to wear powder blue frocks but did so in very different ways
I love Diane Kruger's dress, the color, the shape, I love this on her

Cheers to that: (L-R) Selena Gomez, Michelle Monaghan (in Altuzarra) and Zoe Kravitz garnered plenty of attention in pretty wine-coloured creations
My favorite girl crush Selena Gomez put her troubles behind her and looked drop dead gorgeous in a plum Diane Von Furstenberg, this is timeless and classic and oh so chic, amazing choice

All about the embroidery: American Horror Story star Sarah Paulson (L) followed House Of Cards actress Kate Mara's lead in an intricate green gown
Kate Mara, Valentino = showstopper outfit

All about the embroidery: American Horror Story star Sarah Paulson (L) followed House Of Cards actress Kate Mara's lead in an intricate green gown
Sarah Paulson custom Prada is a great choice I think, I really like it on her and I think the color really suits her

Cara Delevingne custom Stella McCartney may not be a  ball gown but is is so her, she stuck to her style and while it may be a little casual for the Met Ball she still looks great

In the nude: While they have very different shapes, Dita Von Teese (L), in Zac Posen, and Kendall Jenner, who wore Topshop, wore nude fishtail gowns
Dita Von Teese Zac Posen is unreal. I love the fishtail detail and the mix of red and nude, my only problem is I think the color is too pale for Dita but the dress is phenomenal

In the nude: While they have very different shapes, Dita Von Teese (L), in Zac Posen, and Kendall Jenner, who wore Topshop, wore nude fishtail gowns
Hello, Kendall you have arrived. This Topshop dress looks great on the model and the diamond necklace is the perfect accessory, Great look from her

All white on the night: Idina Menzel (L) was a gorgeous sight in a white frock by Donna Karan Atelier while Kylie Minogue wore Marchesa
Wow Idina Menzel! The Frozen Star's Donna Karan is unreal, the detail is amazing, and that train, in love!

The white stuff: (L-R) Lily Donaldson, Cobie Smulders and Naomi Campbell looked cool and chic in long white dresses
Hello Cobie Smulders. Her white dress is so chic and i love the splash of metallic, very sleek

Fashion royalty: Anna's daughter Bee Shaffer looked like a vintage Cinderella in her gown, which was blue satin with a white tulle skirt
Bee Shaffer McQueen dress fits her so well and I love the fishtail emerging from the dress, very striking
