Donald Schieffer: Why he Has to GO

By now we all know what Donald Schaefer said to his girlfriend on tape "Do not bring black people to the games" and question her association with black people . The Clippers wore their shirts inside out so the logo would not be seen and many advertisers pulled out which is going to hit Schaefer, in his pocket, where it seems he will really feel it.
The NBA has given him a lifetime ban and is going to do whatever it can to force the sale of the team to a new owner and hit him with a fine of $2.5 million . Now I don't know where this man gets off of being so ignorant but I'm not sure who the hell he think's her is but it is the team he owns full of Black people that make him the $$$. He says who is paying them and the consensus he feels they owe him because he owns the team.
This man is horrific and his views are so backward. As for his girlfriend who taped the recording, I think she is a pure Gold Digger but there is always going to be girls like her who idiots like Schaefer are always going to fall for because men like to think they can get anyone if they have enough power and dollar.
I hope the team is sold and given to a new owner because there is no place for him. magic Johnson said he would seriously consider buying the team and that would be the best ending and the best two fingers to the idiot that is Donald Schaefer.

Why Pretty Hurts

Everyone knows Beyonce is a stunning woman whose beauty is timeless and who can look good is almost anything. She released her video for her song Pretty Hurts which shows her being in a beauty pageant and the behind the scenes ridicule and the harsh preparation just to be the most beautiful of them all.
She said in the behind the scenes video that it breaks her heart to see what some girls go through just to look good. Not only do us woman wax, shave, diet and almost starve ourselves to look good, but we do it mainly for other people and not for ourselves. Now I'm not a feminist but I do think how much easier would life be if we did not have to make sure the teeth are pearly white, our clothes for us well, our makeup is perfect and our hair is on point, just to go out the door for college or to grab a coffee.
We do these things to ourselves because we want people to think we are beautiful ,because every girl deserves to think she is beautiful.
Some girls take it further though, they starve themselves, take pills, exercise to extremes all to look "pretty". We are damaging ourselves, Beyonce is right "Pretty Hurts" but will we ever be in a place where we say, no I'm not shaving my armpits or not I am going to go out with no make up on, I don't think so, because if we don't think that looks "right" then chances are we feel others won't either.
We all look good, even if we are not "On" everyday we should remember that not everyone needs to be "on" all the time and that if we see a girl whose hair is greasy or who has not an ounce of make up on, not to look down on her and not to look at her like she is a crazy cat lady, because we have all felt not so hot every now and again, and being Pretty can hurt.

Inside The Emerald State of Mind: 1 Year On

Hey guys, I only realised that I passed the one year mark on the blog about 3 weeks ago, I have been so riddled with studying it went over my head! I have had loads of fun writing this blog and it has been a lot of fun airing my opinion, I hope to keep it up a lot more and thank you for anyone and everyone who has read it at one point or another. Make Up to the Gym: Yay or Nah

As a regular gym goer I have noticed somthing of late, the amount of make up worn to the gym by females. There is very few woman in my gym. There are the older ladies who are just there to lose the belly and love handles and there are girls my age.Young and doing a lot of cardio. I have noticed they use very minimal make up or none at all and other days you see the odd one or two who have a full on face, I mean Kim Kardashian levels.
I always feel a little stupid when I have a full face of makeup on when I'm lifting but before you judge it is only if I have come from a long day at college. However if I am going to the gym coming from home I must admit I pop on a small bit of mascara and a tiny bit of concealer. It just makes me look more alive.
I had this conversation with one of the guys I go to college with last year. He was giving me a lift to the gym and he is a proper gym head, you know the gym, the one's who a ripped to shreds and eat about 3 chicken breasts and a protein shake for like, every meal. Anyway, while enroute from college, I took out my make up bag mid convo and started topping up may my make up and received the response "I thought you're going to the gym" "I am" "Then why are you doing your make up, your just going to sweat it off!" Theres me thinking "Silly Boy that is what powder is for". He then went on a good five minute lecture on how the gym is a place to sweat and get fit and make up should be a non factor. My response "If I am going to get sweaty hair and pull funny faces in the weights room, I want to look good doing it!" Cue another long speech!
I can see where he coming from though, For people like him, the gym is where you go to get shredded and get "dem gains" but he is also the gym that wears those small shirts and shorts and spends forever lifting, that is my male equivalent of make up to the gym and believe me, there are many at my gym!
It makes me feel a hell of a lot better standing in the weights room with a bunch of lads with a bit of color on my face then standing there with no make up, workout clothes and a big bun lobbed on the top on my head.

London Haul

Hey all, I was on London recently and anyone who knows me knows when it comes to shopping, London High street tops my list. I love the place so much. Not just for the shops but the people and the buzz of the place, also I love how you can wear anything and everything and people just make it all work.
Anyway, I went on a nice spree and here is what I found on my travels.

New Look

For me New Look is the best place to go for jumpers. They were having a huge sale over there on their knits and This was flying off the shelves. It was only £10 and I love the color and how it's so bright you can bring it into summer. I love neon so this is a must for me!

I also picked this blue and pink number up for £10, again the light colors are great and it's so warm

River Island

I am obsessed with box jackets, They smarten up any outfit and look oh so chic. This was £25 and looks great with white and navy outfits, honestly I am so excited about this piece

Another Jumper, I know, but in the words of Agnes from Despicable Me "It's so FLUFFY!" This was £15 and it feels so soft and warmi just could not leave it behind

I adore this top, it is so nice on and fit's so well, it's perfect for jeans and heels for a night out and the nude makes it go with anything. This was £32 and it was so worth it

H&M

The crop top was an impulse buy to say the least. It's great with jeans or even with sweats for the gym. It was only £7 and it looked good so why not, the summers coming people

House of Fraser

This Kimono was a must for me as I have been looking for one for ages, it is perfect for summer and the ombre effect is stunning, it was a little steep for £46 but it was worth it

Topshop

I love love love this top. The colors are so nice and it's so light. It is perfect with jeans and boots and can go from day to night, It cost £36 but it was worth it

My favorite but, this crop style dress is so nice on and looks so good with the box jacket from River Island. It is a shift style dress and would look great with sandals on a nice day or heels in the evening, I cannot wait to wear this dress, it was also so reasonable and £48, bargain

Camden Market

Flower Crowns are back, thank you Lana Del Ray, anywho, this was a steal at £3. I got it at the market from a nice lady who had a wide collection, bargin

MAC

MAC is a must and I got a good bit, I got 2 foundations, a bronzer, a poweder, conceler and Mascara. I am an advcate for MAC, they are the best in my opnion and you get what you pay for. Here is the breakdown of the prices

Foundation :£21.50 Each

Bronzer: £16

Mascara £11

Concealer: £15

Powder: £20

For now that's it but hopefully ill be back soon doing more shopping and losing more money!

MTV Movie Awards Fashion Review

Hey guys, during the weekend the MTV Movie Awards were held in Hollywood bring out all the A Listers, here s roundup of all the hits and misses this year

Shailene Woodley: The hottest new actress that everyone is buzzing about turned up to the event is a olive green leather crop and mini skirt combo. I thought I would hate this but I think she took a risk here and it payed off, this is a bold move but she seems so comfortable and the color really suits her skin tone. Honestly I don't think it's half bad.

Lupita Nyong'o: Everyones favorite fashion darling did it again with her colors in this multicolored mini dress and topped it off with those amazing shoes. I think she looks good but given her fashion record I am a little underwhelmed but if anyone can pull off color it's her.

Rihanna: Only she could make dresses down look so hot. This is what I love about her, she goes all or nothing but makes it look slick and cool. This is a relaxed look from the singer and she is pulling it off, however I would prefer something more done with the hair

Jessica Alba: I love this on her. It's so fun and perfect for summer. The shoes are also amazing.

Ellie Goulding: The singer wore an all white maxi dress but I thought she could have done a bit more with the look. it's a pretty dress no doubt but I would have liked to seen something a bit . Also get rid of those shoes, they are horrific.

Rita Ora: my girl crush does it again. this dress is so plunging but just right but she kept it tame with the black. I adore the dress with her trademark red lip and soft waves. Stunning

Leslie Mann: The funny lady look was a little dowdy in my opinion. I think it's so dull but the shoes are great but they just don't work with the look

Pia Mia looked more hoochie than gucci. It looks cheap and trashy but she is only 17 so ill let her off.

Zendaya: The disney star looked unreal. I love how mature it is without being too old for her. Her hair and make up looks great and young and those shoes are amazing

 

Bella Throne: Usually I love her style but this dress is so cheap and tacky. The color is too light for her skin tone, it makes her looked washed out. Her hair and makeup though, flawless

Iggy Azalea: Seriously WTF, This look is so bad. What the hell the dress makes her look big and those shoes, what? They are horrific and make her  look so short. She is easily over 6ft in heels. She just looks crap

Nicki Minaj: I know this really is Ms Minaj. She has never looked better. The dress makes her look incredible but she still is going a bit OTT with all the cold cuff's but it works. She looks amazing

Rosci Diaz: This is such a fresh simple summer look that looks great on the star

Chrissy Teigan: The model looked cute and fresh in  a baby pink mini. I love the color on her and how she kept the overall look sweet and simple

Mila Kunis: The stunner kept her baby bump under wraps in a gorgeous black dress and simple courts. Overall a cute look from the mum to be

Greer Grammer: The Awkward actress wore a gorgeous black lace dress to the event. I love the detail on the bodice and shoe she kept it fun with gold accessories. 

Jenna Dewan: Mrs Channing Tatum looked hot in a black sheer dress to the event.

Debby Ryan: The Disney star wore a simple black dress to the event and looked great

Bethan Mota: The blogger wore a fun and cite black mini with a pop of color with her coral heels

Victoria Justice: The actress wore a pink mini to the awards. As much as I love her, the same cant be said for her out for, it's just not doing it for me
