Off To The Races

Race season is coming up, with Ascot happening in three weeks and if your heading along here are some great looks that will have people looking at you and the horses.

€88.00 Topshop : This shift dress is eye catching and the lace and color suits the occasion and season.

€17.50 Shelikes.com: A new website I came across. They stock simple and very affordable dresses. This dress comes in a range of colors but this color is my favorite. With a pair of nude heels this would look stunning.

€40.00 Asos.com: I went to the races at Christmas in a dress pretty much the exact same as this but it was a heavier material. The neckline and where the straps are is why I love this. The color suits most skin tones and the shape is very flattering.

Little White Lies Clothing

I love lookin at new brands and designers and I feel like I have found a gem in the form of Little White Lies. The range is the debut collection from designer Donna K who admits she loves Peter Pan Collars and Lace. She makes simple dresses but can be worn at many differnt sorts of occasions.

Here are some pieces you can buy off http://www.youngbritishdesigners.com. Although it's on the pricy side, if you want to make an investment piece there are some gems here. Its also nice to own an expencive dress, even if its only one.

Tulisa : Why I can't stand the the fallen X Factor Judge

Two years ago when N Dubz singer Tulisa was going to replace Cheryl Cole as a judge on the X Factor I wondered why a singer from a band who don't have a strong of top 10 hits, would be chosen to be a judge on the biggest show on Saturday Night.
When I watched her I did not warm to her, I thought that she was honest but I just did not warm to her.
After two years on the show, last week it was announced she would be replaced as a judge by Sharon Osbourne.
Many, like myself, we're not surprised, it was then announced she broke up with her boyfriend Danny Simpson. Not a good week for the so called "The Female Boss".
Last year it was announced that she got together with her now ex Danny Simpson but he was not exactly a bachelor. He had left his pregnant girlfriend to date Tulisa. In my view any girl who makes a play for a man who has a pregnant girlfriend, is not the very high in my books. It's a low move.
I also think never liked how she was brash and loud and wore it with pride. Opinionated is one thing, brashness is another thing. No one wants to be know as a fishwife.
I dint think anyone who doesn't have a number one hit, at least once or helped make one, why should you be given such a position?
I find her trashy and the she dresses is so cheap looking. You are worth a lot if money, buy some nice expensive clothes every once in awhile. I love the high street but even I buy the odd designer piece.
She was photographed this week by a pool in a white bikini, a baseball hat and black Louboutains,

What's wrong with flip flops? Tulisa was sporting a pair of skyscraper stilettos as she attended Ocean Club's Bank Holiday spray party in Marbella, Spain, on Sunday

She looks like such an attention seeker, who the hell wears designer shoes to a pool, have some regard for them. The baseball cap and the Chanel Logo necklace.
This looks ridiculous and cheap. She looks like a hanger on instead of a celebrity.

Must try harder: While Chelsee looked like a Flamenco dancer Tulisa failed in her aqua colour dress and matching heels

I know you're on holiday but you don't have to leave what little left of your style you had back home too.

Wild thing: The X Factor judge enjoyed a few tipples at Freedom bar in London's Soho district, before heading to upmarket Mayfair nightclub Whisky Mist, where she partied until 3.30am

For crying out loud, get a stylist!!!!

Cannes 2013 : Best and Worst Dressed

This year showed some amazing fashion this year. Many stars graced the red carpet and made me green with envy while some other made us uneasy. Here is a collection some of the best dressed stars and some who should have stayed at home.

Best

All white on the night: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley lead the way as the stars dazzled in pristine white ensembles at the 2013 amfAR Cinema Against Aids gala at the Hotel Du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes on Thursday night
Rosie Hunnington Whitely looked impeccable in white.

Neon brights: Irina Shayk and Goldie Hawn turned heads in their fluro dresses as they arrived at the 2013 amfAR Cinema Against AIDS event in Cannes on Thursday night
Irina Shayk looked amazing in this eye catching pink dress topped off with simple hair and make up.

Purple haze: Jessica Chastain wowed in a stunning Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci beaded dress to the screening
My current girl crush Jessica Chastain looked utterly amazing in Givenchy. This woman to me is perfection

Masterclass in monochrome: Harry Potter graduate Emma Watson
The actress looked sensational in simple Chanel

Cara Delevingne looked every inch the supermodel in Burberry
Cara looked pure Hollywood in Burberry

Striking: Freida Pinto was one of the brightest stars on the carpet as she showed up in a flamboyant Gucci frock with braided hair as she ignored the rainy weather
Freda Pinto looked fabulous in hot pink

Just peachy: The gown hugged the star's enviable figure and its colour was a perfect pick for her skin tone
Petrea Nemcova looked amazing in this beautiful peach gown. I love seeing her on the red carpet and this is no exception

Nicole Kidman in Valentino

The actress looked like the Hollywood Royalty she is in this cream gown

Worst

Olivia Palermo looks like she's been attacked by a wild cat given the slashes to this dress
The fashionista looked horrific in this cheap dress. this screams tacky and looks like it should be on a footballers wife then a fashion icon like herself. This truly was a bum note

Heidi Klum looks like she's got wrapped up in a net curtain
Heidi looked awful in this dress. It adds inches to her that are not there and the gold material looks cheap and tacky.

Not much left the imagination! The Russian model's dress boasted a plunging neckline cut out panels and a sheer skirt
The model looked just awful in this cheap, tacky and frankly slutty dress. The sheer, the cut outs and the low front it was just awful. What also did not help was that we could see her underwear as well  Who let her out in this???

Prohibition style: Singer Lana Del Rey went for a vintage look as she turned up to the Cannes Film Festival Opening Ceremony on Wednesday night in a black and white frock with big curls to fit in with the theme

I usually love whatever Lana wears as she is one of my style icons but this looks like my grandmothers table cloth. This is a bum note for the singer and I was disappointed she choose this horror.

Dot her best: Florence Welch wore a garish pink and black spotted dress to The Great Gatsby premiere at Cannes Film Festival
WTF, the pink, black, yellow, this is awful, I have not been a fan of the singers style and this is why. The dress looked like the wallpaper from a 50's diner, the shoes are half wellington boots, half sandals  and the bag, it looks like something a you buy a child in claires accessories, this is just disgusting.

Model entrances: Catwalk stars Cara Delevingne and Georgia May Jagger lead the glamour as they arrive on the red carpet for the 2013 Cannes Film Festival Opening Ceremony on Wednesday night
Georgia Jagger wore a dress which looked like it could be bought in any shop for a to wear as a debs dress, and not even a nice debs dress. I thought the cut outs looked a bit cheap and the look is so "done".

Mel B squeezed herself into this navy embellished dress but could have benefited from a larger size

Mel B, wear a dress that fits, if you can't keep the girls in then its a sign, time to size up. the dress is too tight, the heels are too clumpy and the hair is too tight off her face. Cannes is supposed to be a classy event and your boobs pushing out of your dress is never classy.

Julianne Moore in an unflattering Dior gown and ill-fitting shoes
Usually I love these two colors together in a dress, not this one. The shiny  material on the bottom is awful, the extra material at the bottom is annoying and for the love of God, get a pair of shoes that fits!!!!

Rihanna Launches New Collection

Rihanna unveiled her new collection for River Island today and it's safe to say with this collection, you can get Rihanna's style. She has many pieces inspired by her own fearless street style. There are pieces in the  collection that are only for  fashion risk takers while there are a few for the casual girl. I personally would not wear a lot of the collection but there are many people who would and can rock her style.

Here are some pieces for the Risk Takers.

This Maxi is is quite daring and the print is not for the faint hearted, its also quite pricy at €110.00

This shirt is very busy and the same print can be found in pants and shorts to wear as a set. Its cute but still head turning. €60.00

These shorts are very Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Anyone with wide hips should steer clear as they draw attention to them. They stand out but I am not that much of a fan. €70.00

No these are not PJ's these are pants for everyday wear. I think if they were a skinny fit they would be be more suitable for day wear but if you like to take risks with fashion this may be up your street. €60.00

This black maxi has a dungeness style to it but the sheer is a bit much for me. €95.00

Pieces for the Casual Girl

These pink shorts are very cute. The pale link go well with a tan and can be worn day or night. €45.00

Denim Jackets are really on trend at the moment at and this is a great jacket to add to anyones collection. I love this €80.00

These shorts are so Rihanna and with summer coming up they are a must have. I love how simple they are. €40.00

This Top is great and a very good call for summer. Its long and the bright colors go great with either denim or colored shorts. Its also a very good price at €25.00

Kardashian Kollection Launched!

The Kardashian's third collection for Dorothy Perkins was launched today and the pieces have a great summer feel to them but can still be worn throughout the year.
The collection has ten dresses, five skirts, two leggins, six jackets, seven tops and loads of bags and purses.
Here are some of my favorite pieces from the collection.

I think this top is perfect. It can be worn with pants, leggings and skirts. It cost €35,00 and the mesh detail is so unusual but in a good way. I know I will do my best to but this top as soon as I can.

This simple black dress is so cute and the arms add a simple drama to the dress. You can never go wrong with black and at € 52,00 its a great buy. I will probably be buying this dress as soon as I can and I encourage others to do the same.

This Pink Ombre Jacket screams summer when I look it. It's perfect for holidays when it gets cooler at night and the color is unusual. The way it drapes at the bottom is also very appealing. € 72,00

I think this cream skirt is a great piece for summer and could be worn night or day and would also be perfect to wear on holiday in the evening. It's priced at € 45,00.

This skirt is great for keeping up for the leather trend and it can be worn night and day. I think it could be a great buy for anyone who likes the leather trend but only wants to wear one piece at at time, at  € 45,00 its a good price.

I am obsessed with these leggings. The design is unusual and they look comfortable. They are only € 35,00 but look like they cost much more. I know I love a good pair of leggings and that I think its vital for leggings to have strong material and these look like this could be a winner.

I love this bag. The shape is a personal favorite of mine and the studs on the site are a nice detail. The two straps give the wearer the option of wearer they want to wear it over the shoulder or on their wrist. the size of the bag is ideal for anyone whose life is in their bag. black never goes out of fashion which is a bonus. €72,00.
