Disney Big Three

Thinking of young Hollywood at the moment, its hard not to think someone who was not the product of Disney. The Disney Chanel gave us some of the biggest stars in the world, including Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and even gave, Sexiest Man alive, Ryan Gosling his first big gig, in fact they were all on the same show.
In recent years it has given us Zac Effron, The Jonas Brothers and Ashley Tisdale. Although it has given us some big stars none are as talked about as the "Big 3",  Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato. In the past five years these girls have not been our of the headlines, I wonder, why out of all the Disney Channel stars, they are the biggest.
Miley Cyrus was arguably the biggest star until her show ended. The former Hannah Montana star released an "edgy" new look and had an album that followed, however in recent years she has staring in underrated movies, tweets how shes always in the studio but no music launch dates and been getting what  a hair cut that I would have made me demand a full refund!
Selena Gomez released three albums in a row that did quite well, dated the most famous boy on the planet and is now starting in the much talked about film "Spring Breakers". She seems to be slightly moving far away from her Disney Image without any uproar.
Demi Lovato has a had a bumpy few years, admitting herself for an eating disorder and self-injury,  "self-medicating" with drugs and alcohol, which she stated was "like a lot of teens do to numb their pain". and was diagnosed with bipolar disorder during treatment. However she has bounced back with a new album and a judging role on X Factor USA and made the world fall in love with her after hearing her brave story (myself included).
These girls have major influence on the young generation, much like Britney and Christina did when I was young, they are the big three who have come out of Disney and made the biggest impact on the demographic, honestly I think they were some of the best to come out of the Disney Machine, there are a lot worse that young girls could be looking up to. They see that if they want to be successful they have to continue to work and make an impact, that's not a bad message to send out to a girl of 12.

Kardashians, American Royalty?

As I user of Mail Online not a day goes by that there is not at least one Article about the Kardashian / Jenner clan. I must admit, I am a fan of the famous family. I watch the show, follow them on twitter and when their clothing line was launched I bought two pieces. I find them entertaining and fun to watch but there are some people who call them Americas version of the Royals. When Kim got married she had a wedding that in my view came second to the Royal Wedding, in the contest for wedding of the year. E Online compared members of both family's and even called them Americas Royal Family. While they are a powerful brand I would not go as far as dubbing them American Royalty.
Like Kate Middleton the Kardashians are style icons. I myself like their of style, although I must admit, ever since falling pregnant I feel Kim has lost her style but she is bring life into the world so I won't be to harsh. While Kate is more demure the Kardashians are full of Glamour. Soft waves vs Big curls, tall and slim frame vs petite height and hourglass curves. These are not the only difference's between the two families. While the Windsor family fortune is around $450 million the Kardashians  ended 2012 with a nice pay cheque of $80 million. Quite a big difference although its still a nice pay packet.
The Royals are documented daily we know what they have been up to but I can't see Kate filming the birth of her first child and broadcasting it to the world like Kourtney Kardashian however no doubt there will be endless photos of the heir, as well as baby Kardashian - West.
When Kate announced her pregnancy the world celebrated, a new heir to the monarchy and a new face to add to the Royal clan. This would be the birth of the year, but another big birth will be the arrival of Kim Kardashians first child. She made the announcement late December and besides Kate she is the most photographed pregnant woman in the world. With the births supposedly due to be around a month from each other, each new addition will be greeted with a fury of press, gossip sites and speculation about every detail of their arrival.
Will the Kardashian child ever have a coronation to face in their future years, I am highly doubtful, but they will be followed and gossiped about for a long period of time, much like its British counterpart. The Kardashians may be the biggest family in America but I can't see them being mentioned in the history books.

Trend Timetravel

The 90's, a decade known to people for the emergence of Grunge, Girl Power and The Show that brought us "The Rachel". Yes the 90's was a fun decade. Style wise we went from the Hippie Look to Pastels. Midriffs were on show and capri were a fashion must have. Now in 2013 we are seeing a massive revival fashion wise from the not so past decade. As a 90's kid I still like to watch some old shows from the 90's. I was watching some Fresh Prince of Bel Air and Saved By The Bell and I noticed some outfits would not look so out of place today. Colorful belly tops, faded jeans, colorful base ball caps, some of these items you can get in any good retailer.
I for one think the 90's were a great decade, especially culture wise. At the moment we are seeing a massive revival in 90's pop bands with the ITV2 show "The Big Reunion". The likes of 5ive, Liberty X and B*witched and we just saw Ant and Dec nab the number one spot in the charts with their 19 year old song "Lets Get Ready To Rhumble". However as much as I love a bit of nostalgia I'm not sure how sold I am on head to toe denim. In the last few years we've seen the 80's making a strong comeback fashion wise, the 60's had a major revival with Mad Men and the Boho 70's look is forever being championed by the likes of Sienna Miller and Vanessa Hudgens, now the 90's are making their comeback and I have to ask, why we recycle the trends of decades past instead of making new ones and moving fashion forward. Not to be a fashion funsucker, I have invested in a varsity jacket and a cute denim jacket, both from New Look, other 90's items I spotted on my travels were a pair of denim degrees, graphic print pants and ALOT of leather.
As much as I sound like as a fashion bore I actually think that this trend is a trend that people can have a lot of fun with. As much as I wont be wearing denim dungarees and dressing like Kelly Kapowski I will defiantly be dipping my toe into this colorful trend.

The 90's trend is being championed by modern day style icons such as Cara Delevinge, Rita Ora.
