The Low Carb Life: An Experiment

Hey everyone, so this is going to be a different kind  post.. I know this is a fashion and beauty blog but his is a different genre.
Recently I have been trying to get back into a healthy diet and lifestyle. I have so much events coming up I need to be looking on point.
I have decided to take up the Low Carb lifestyle. I took up this lifestyle as Protein is my favorite  food group that doesn't make me feel like I'v eaten Willy Wonkas Whole Factory!

This is going to be a small progress outlet. The diet in this lifestyle is cheap and very basic. There is no real complicated meal plan.

I started on Friday ( I know some people may think this is a crazy day to start but I have my reasons). For breakfast I had a Ham and Oregano Omelette. For Lunch I had a chicken and kidney bean salad, (so fun I know) and for Dinner I had cooked Ham and Quinoa and mixed veg.

Snacking is Mainly Carrots and hummus and Protein Bars ( Lenny and Larry Protein Brownies, AMAZING)
The Best Snacks

I also go for at least a 50 Minute Brisk Hill Walk 4 times a Week.  This is just because I love going for walks to clear my head and listen to my music.

After a Workout, Buzzing

While some people may say I am crazy, I know it works and it makes me feel really clean. One think I will say is that you have low energy for the first week but that is to be expected and you will get used to it.

Fresh Carrots & Hummus

I'm gonna update on here with my progress and maybe the odd rant if the diet gets boring (it probably will!)

Enjoy and Wish Me Luck!

Lady Gaga; The Singer looked like Ms Marilyn Monroe in her Brandon Maxwell jumpsuit, I love how is classic but with a Gaga twist. Gorgeous.

All that glitters isn't good: Kate Winslet was looking a little bit too slick in this gown - which even managed to make Best Actor hopeful Leonardo DiCaprio look dulled
Kate Winslet: The Steve Jobs star went for  different look this Year in her black Ralph Lauren. This just feels a bit 2003 for me. A simple black gown would have looked 10 times better.

Blooming lovely: Pregnant Chrissy Teigen wore a floral embellished gown by Marchesa, which clung to her blossoming bump
Chrissy Teigan: This is how to do Maternity Style. The Model was glowing in her fitted Marcheasa gown. I love how she is working it to perfection and I love how she is showing off her by bump. Review: The Collection Concealer Pallet

Hey Guys, so I decided that I wanted to venture into the word of cream contour so I decided to venture into Boots and see what  that had to offer. I then saw Collection had a new product on special. The pallet was on special for €5.99 (Usual Price €8.99). The pallet has 8 shades. , 4 Concealer, 1 Highlighter, 1 Yellow Concealer, 1 Green and 1 Purple.

I decided to try it out that night and took the darkest concealer to try and contour my cheekbones. Try being the operative word. For a cream concealer this stuff does not blend. Like if You try and blend it onto your cheeks it will just wear off and go patchy.

I the tried to use the second darkest shade under my eyes and you really had to get it in the one go or you are stuck. I haven't used any of the color corrector concealers, I don't really  have much use for them. I have used the highlighter but My Sleek Highlight is so much better, I wound never really use the highlight unless it's only a quick make up look.

The "Contour" (Please Excuse the shoddy eyeliner)

Honesty this was a pure waste of my money. I am so disappointed in this pallet. I recently bought another product that is 70 times better (although the price is much higher than €8.99) I used the more expensive product and it was the dream. Concealers are meant to blend easily and this pallet does the complete opposite. While the pallet looks nice and sleek it is just very disappointing. I know it's a budget product the quality is so poor for such a good budget brand, it's such a pity.

Grammy 2016 Red Carpet: Fashion Review

The most Fun Red Carpet of Award Season took place last night. The biggest stars from the music industry graced the Red Carpet for the Biggest Night in Music and brought the style and color with them. Here's a rundown of of some of the best looks on the night.

Trying something new: While Taylor revealed a new shorter hairdo, complete with fringe, Selena showed her sexy side
Taylor Swift: The star of the night, Taylor went for a completely different look for the Night. I love the color combo of the outfit. I also like the crop top and ballgown combination, I just wish the slit didnt go up so high, honestly just because she is so tall, I think it would have worked better with a high slit, also the shoes are perfect with it.

Trying something new: While Taylor revealed a new shorter hairdo, complete with fringe, Selena showed her sexy side
Selena Gomez: The singer looked Diving in Calvin Klein. I love the midnight blue on her and the cut out makes the ress suitable for a young person. Her hair also goes so well with it and the make up pulls the whole look together. Overall Perfect

Grown-up glamour: Demi Lovato went for elegant sophistication in a plunging black Norisol Ferrari gown with lots of silver jewellery
Demi Lovato: The singer tried a tuxedo dress for the night. I feel that this is two dresses on one and this does not pair well together. This could have been a short tuxedo dress or a long black gown but this is tryn to be both. I just feel like this is a bit of a miss and the outfit is also a bit ageing on the young star.

Scarlet woman: Ariana Grande showed her sexy side in a skintight red Romona Keveza gown, complete with corseted top
Ariana Grande: I love the color on her, You can never really go wrong with a simple red dress. I love the fit on her and her hair and make up is so simple and lets the dress do the talking. If I had one thing, I just wish there were no buttons on the front, but that just personal preference.

Dazzling: Kaley Cuoco, who was presenting during the evening, dressed to impress in a beaded jumpsuit with cut-out stomach
Kayle Cuoco: The Big Bang Star looked amazing in her Jumpsuit. The look is so young and fresh and suits the Big Bang Star, A fab look from the night.

She's back: Adele made a triumphant comeback in a long-sleeved black Givenchy gown which was adorned with sequins
Adele: The Superstar kept it classic in her black Givenchy. She always look so chic in long black gowns and it keep with her vibe. Always classic and sleek

Proud parents-to-be: John Legend cradled wife Chrissy Teigen's huge baby bump as they posed side-by-side
Chrissy Teighan: The model looked Fab on the Red Carpet. This is a such a fab look and it would also look unreal is she was not pregnant. I love the cape detail and the white is gorgeous on her

Flashing her Goodies: Ciara risked a wardrobe malfunction as she appeared to go without underwear in a daring Alexandre Vauthier dress
Ciara: Sorry no, just no. There is too much going on, the slit is too high, the pattern is crazy and the hair is so blah, I just thik there is not much of a dress n general. She has a unreal body, but still, boobs or legs, pick one!

A look to Idol-ise: Carrie Underwood sizzled in a slit black Nicolas Jebran gown, paired with a statement necklace - which she revealed was a Valentine's Day gift
Carrie Underwood: I love Carrie and I usually love her on the Red Carpet but this is just not enough for the Grammy's. It so done, You can war this to a red carpet but not to Music Biggest Night. It just falls a bit flat

She's no Angel: Victoria's Secret beauty Alessandra Ambrosio showed her sultry side in a revealing black dress
Alessandra Ambrosio: The Angel wore a simple black Versace to the event. To be honest this look is just a bit predictable, model in a tight dress. She looks good, but it's been so done.

Pretty in pink: Ellie Goulding kept things simple but stylish in a powder pink Stella McCartney gown with unusual fringed back detail
Ellie Goulding: I love this. the coor is gorgeous on her, the look is so simple at the front and the detail at the back just finishes off perfectly. I think she looks on point here.

A night she'll never forget: Meghan Trainor broke down in tears when she won Best New Artist
Megan Trainor: The Best New Artist Winner made an impact on the Red carpet in her black Micheal Costello. I love the strucure of he gown and the shoes and bag with it I must admit though I think she woould have pulled the look together  bi more if she were blond again. Overall though, fantastic.

SAG Awards 2016: Fashion Review

Hey Guys, hope you all had a fab payday weekend. Last Night the Screen Actors Gould Awards took place. The biggest stars from film and TV graced the red carpet. I always find with this Red Carpet, The Stars have a bit more fun with their outfits, its more about color rather then full blown Glitz & Glam. Here's a Rundown on some of the biggest Looks from the Night.

Hot metal: Best Supporting Actress winner Alicia, who stars in The Danish Girl, turned every head in her Louis Vuitton gown
Alicia Vikander: The Danish Girl Actress looked Outstanding in this Louis Vuitton sequined creation. The fit is outstanding, The Pattern and colors are gorgeous and her hair and make  up pull the look together perfectly, definitely my best dressed of the Night. This Girl is doing a Lupita Nyongo on it, making statements on the red Capet as a newcomer. In Love!

Battling it out: Saiorse Ronan (left, in Michael Kors Collection) and Brie Larson (in Atelier Versace) went head-to-head for Best Actress, with Brie taking the title
Bree Larson: The Room Star wore a sexy blue Versace cut out dress. I love the color on her and I think the cut out works as she has a great figure. I think it's different and I like hows shes really making an effort on the Red Carpet.

In the Spotlight: Best Supporting Actress nominee Rachel McAdams had just a touch of sparkle on her stunning black dress by Elie Saab
Rachel McAdams: The Spotlight star looked so chic and oozed old Hollywood Glamour in her Ellie Saab, The hair and make up are so fresh and the dress does all the talking.

Making them green with envy: Marisa Tomei (left, in Zuhair Murad Couture) and Kate Winslet (wearing Armani) looked incredible in their deep green gowns
Kate Winslet: The Steve Jobs actress kept it simple and understated in Armani. Kate has a tendency to wear this kind of dress and once again she looks sleek and classy

Causing jaws to drop: Sofia Vergara (left, in Vera Wang) and Emilia Clarke (in Dior Haute Couture) left little to the imagination in plunging hot pink designs
Sofia Vergara: The Modern Family bombshell looked super hot in this hot Pink Vera Wang. This woman knows how to dress herself and know she looks hot, I love this color on her and wish stars would wear it more on the Red Carpet.

In fine form: Kaley Cuoco gave fans a glimpse of her toned tummy in a one-shouldered black frock by Romona Keveza with sheer section on the stomach
Kayle Cucoc: The Big Bang Theory Star proved  she still one of the most gorgeous stars in Hollywood in her black Ramona Kavesa Gown. The cut outs give a kind of 90's vibe to the dress and the bun and smokey eye make the look come together.

Battling it out: Saiorse Ronan (left, in Michael Kors Collection) and Brie Larson (in Atelier Versace) went head-to-head for Best Actress, with Brie taking the title
Saoirse Ronan: The Oscar hopeful looked so pretty in Micheal Kors. I love the delicate color on her and he messy bun goes so well with dress, this is honestly the best I've seen her look this awards season.

Last year's winner: Julianne Moore was back to present after winning Best Actress at last year's ceremony, and wore Givenchy
Julianne Moore: What the Hell is this?! I get that last years winner rocked sequined last year but this is just a no, I don't care that is Givency, This might have worked as a fun look on Kiernan Shipka but not on Julian, it's not even a nice dress, very disappointing.

Shimmering star: Christina Hendricks also dazzled in a shiny frock by Christian Siriano, complete with dramatic bustle
Christina Hendricks: I cannot I am about to write this but I this does not work AT ALL: As a woman who has curvy hips like Christina, Trust me Ruffles on you backside does make you look bigger and this dress is no exception, The dress makes her look heavy instead of Hourglass and the color washes her out. This is such a pity because her hair and make up is gorgeous and she's usually a knockout on the red carpet.

Causing jaws to drop: Sofia Vergara (left, in Vera Wang) and Emilia Clarke (in Dior Haute Couture) left little to the imagination in plunging hot pink designs
Emila Clarke: The GOT actress looked Divine in Dior, I love the neckline and the color looks amazing against her hair and skin, ugh just Flawless

Brilliant in blue: Claire Danes (left, in Stella McCartney) and Naomi Watts kept things simple but stylish in form-fitting blue designs
Clair Dannes: The Homeland star looked great in a simple blue Stella MCartney. I love this color with her hair color, another strong look

Hello old Hollywood: Best Actress in a Drama Series winner Viola Davis picked a Zac Posen gown which oozed vintage glamour
Viola Davis: Yes Annalyse, I love this, one of my favorite actresses in my favorite designer. This mink Zac Posen is glamorous age appropriate and screams I am a winner. The color is great on her and the fit is fabulous as well

She's a pro: The Orange Is The New Black star knew how to work it for the cameras
Lavern Cox: The OITNB Star is Killing it in her Prubal Gurang gown. She looks divine and she know she looks amazing, I love seeing her on the Red Carpet, the girl is slaying

Sarah Hyland: The Modern Family Star looked secy and sleek in J Mendel. The shape is great on her and the color looks so good against her tan, it's simple and sexy and her hair and make up are also on point

All about the embellishment: Best Actress in a Drama and Best Actress in a Comedy nominees Julianna Margulies (left, in Antonio Beradi) and Julia Louis-Dreyfus (in Monique Lhuillier) both flattered their figures in delicate dresses
Julian Margulis: The Good Wife star gave us another amazing look in Antonio Beradi. I love the detail on the center of the dress and how she kept her hair slicked back, This is another winner

Dressed to impress: While Mad Men's Kiernan Shipka (L) wore an elegant purple printed Erdem gown, Jessica Pare wowed in black
Kiernan Shipka: The Mad Men star looked gorgeous and stylish in her Edrem Gown. The shape and colors are fab on her and I love the neckline, at 16 he really knows how to dress herself

Stark contrast: Game Of Thrones stars (L-R) Sophie Turner (in Carolina Herrera), Maisie Williams (in Ermanno Scervino) and Hannah Murray showcased their different styles
Maise Williams: I love this on Masie. The length is perfect on the GOT star and the color is so rich and vibrant and i love the texture on the dress, I also love the shoes. This is one of the few teenage stars who knows how to dress for their age

Stark contrast: Game Of Thrones stars (L-R) Sophie Turner (in Carolina Herrera), Maisie Williams (in Ermanno Scervino) and Hannah Murray showcased their different styles
Hannah Murray: I cannot this is Cassie from Skins! What, The GOT actually really works in yellow, there is alot of contrast with the pale skin, bright yellow and dark hair but it's quirky and I really like it, but only on her.

Birthday girl: Modern Family star Ariel Winter, who wore Romona Keveza, had celebrated her milestone 18th birthday just two days earlier
Arial Winter: The Modern Family star looked great in a simple, classy n fitted black Ramona Kavesa gown. I think she looks mature confident and her hair and make up go with the overall look.

Mixing it up: Mayim Bialik (L) and Kristen Wiig (in Roland Mouret) weren't opting for your typical awards show looks
Mayim Bialik: The Big Bang Theory star kept to her usual style in her black gown. I like the cut of the dress on her and I love the gold detail, the only thing I would change is the lack of color on the lip, I think a dark nude would have topped off the look.

Bright sparks: (L-R) Priyanka Chopra (in Monique Lhuillier), Ellie Kemper (in Peter Pilotto) and Lily Rabe (in Lela Rose) lit up the red carpet in printed and colourful creations
Ellie Kemper: I love The Kimmy Schmit stars look. I think she pulls off the fun prints really well and the look is really "her". I think the the colors really work together and her hair and make up works well with the dress.

Shining stars: (L-R) Julie Bowen (in KaufmanFranco), Gaby Hoffman and Carrie Brownstein dazzled in glitzy silvery numbers
Julie Bowen: I love what The Modern family star is wearing. I think the simple design works so well and I love the encrusted bust, simple but effective.

Style steal: Stephanie Drake (L) and Melissa Rauch went for very similar looks for the evening
Mellisa Rauch: I love this color on the Big Bang Star, The seep red works so well on her and the stress looks great on the petite star.
